Email Marketing, Part 3:

FFA posts and daily leads. FFA boards have been around since the late -90s and, although perhaps not as much in favor as they once were, remain good, viable marketing options for a number of reasons.

First of all, they are rather like your classified ad section in your local newspaper. While very few people actually read every single word or ad, a whole lot of people at least scan them. (If nothing else they scan their own ad/s to make sure they are in there and correct.) So, if someone is looking for something very specific, they are going to at least read a particular section of the classified ad pages.

FFAs are no different in that respect. People post their own sites and ads and then at least scan the site to make sure their own particular ad is running. FFAs are also great places to ‘link” your site to as well! They provide a means for “getting the word” out on your site and provide “name recognition” in this respect. Now, lots of people will tell you otherwise and try to convince you that FFA boards are dead: these are also the same people trying to SELL YOU SOMETHING ELSE.

So, my opinion on FFA boards in general is: use them. Also, understand that you get return email in exchange for posting your free ad. Do not post to an FFA board and then get bent out of shape because you receive email. This is the point of the boards: you pay nothing but receive email in exchange for the free post.

Who is sending you these emails? The owners and Pro members of the specific boards. All boards are hooked up to a larger “FFA Board Network”. When you post an ad, you must leave an email address. The owners and paid members of the specific boards are then allowed to email you one time with their own email ad. The ads must comply within certain guidelines and will all come with a “non spam statement.” Your email address is considered a “daily lead” and is valuable as such.

Are ‘daily leads” worthwhile? In my opinion, absolutely yes. I cannot begin to tell you the things I have picked up, sites I have joined and resources I have gathered via emails from FFA posts! I have found some incredibly awesome items through this type of email marketing. Like anything else, you have to wade through a lot of “garbage”, but, what is garbage to me is an incredible find for someone else. As in my regular safe list email, I scan subject lines. Something interests me enough to open an email, I quickly scan the first line or two. The entire process may take a couple seconds of my time. I make a decision, delete, keep and move on.

There are many good FFA boards and resources on the net. One of my favorites remains Massive FFA for a number of reasons, but chief is the outstanding member support the network receives from the chief architect, John Harvey. That is the link to the individual board. He also provides the Massive FFA network which is provided though Xteamnet Marketing Center .

John runs a great service that focuses on superior member support. When you get down to it, that is all that really separates the ok boards from the outstanding ones. So when you are looking for a good FFA submitter, you will find it at http://xtreamsubmitter.safelisthosting.us/ .

Email Marketing, Part 2

Email Marketing Centers:

One of the most effective and proven methods for online marketing remain Email marketing, and that usually means a “submitter” of some type. Submitters basically “submit” your ads to lists. Some are the kind you “download” onto your computer, then load your lists and “submit” your ads to. There are some good ones out there, but these, for the most part are not accepted by a lot of safelists.

The other type of submitter are commercial “submitters” in which the owner rents or leases hundreds of lists (or many will allow the submitter for free in order to build membership.) for members to “submit” their email ads to. These type usually require a “pop3” mailbox or two, validations of emails, and are rather complicated programs.

Like anything else, there are “good ones” and then there are the “bad ones.” The good ones have features like auto join, auto validate, auto send, mailbox cleaners, banner features and etc. Other options submitters are now offering are what is usually called “value add-ons” and can range from free use of adblasters to daily leads from FFA boards.

There are many arguments raging on the effectiveness of automated submitters, but the truth remains that email marketing is and will remain a booming big business. The best “submitters” embrace this fact and then do their best to meet an ever changing playing field. Xtream Submitter is one that is molding itself to the market and the demands of individual members.

Rather than just relying on being a “submitter”, Xtream Email Center is transforming itself into a virtual “email” marketing center. If it involves email marketing in anyway, Xtream is adding it to the center. So, you have the traditional submitter with hundreds of lists but with THE VALIDATOR that validates both contact and list emails. It also has the “blast-o-matic v5.15” which blasts to over 2600 double “opt-in” lists without the need for validations. It has over 40 “adblasters” now, the Massive FFA submitter and sources from two daily lead providers.

It also features a SafeAdList center listing a number of these newest innovations in email marketing. Links are provided in the member’s area so you can join and then log onto these sites. SAL is unique in that you do not need the large email boxes for the sites. Emails are posted and read from each individual site, making SAL very intimate email marketing and is the creation of Debra Challinor (see previous posts regarding SAL.) The main site for SAL is: http://www.impressions-hosting.com/safeadlist/ She also is the provider for Mr V, http://www.youraff.com/thevalidator/stetje.cgi?45 the validator that validates both contact and list addresses. (She saw that coming a long time ago for sure.)

Bottom line: when choosing a “submitter” get the maximum value for your dollar.
