After you join, you will want to spend sometime setting up your webpage, your opportunities and then your ad "billboards". Free members get 3 ads to start with. You also can change the into text to say anything you would like and add your own picture, banner and etc. It is a little time consuming to set up initially but well worth the effort.
SE has the steps laid out for you to follow to set up your pages and ad boards. The first thing you want to do is go to your website (click on the link) and change the text that appears on your webpage. All you have to do is over write the text already there or just add in your name and etc in the areas left for you.
Next, you want to add your billboards. You can have “clickable” text ad links or banners. These are what appear on your search page in the upper left hand corner. Your boards will rotate every time someone views your page. Also, they will appear just below your referral’s billboard on their page.
SE gives you 3 separate referral links to promote and a number of banners. I find that the program makes for a good email ad opener. I use “Fr/ee site promoter sweeping the Net” and similar headers and then just the link with good results. Then, the bulk of my email ads deal with other subjects. SE is traffic site friendly.
