Search Engine marketing and affiliate links

You have a business on a site. You need to get people TO that business. One of the hands down best ways to do that is to have good Search Engine position, aka ranking. Let us say you are looking for Cashflowpc. You heard about Cfpc, maybe read an ad which you did not respond to or whatever. So, you go to your browser and do a search on the word cashflowpc. The results come back in pages. You view those pages starting with page one.

How did those sites get there anyway? First, you have to get on the map so to speak. This means you need a website and then you need to optimize your site (or have someone do it for you, or be provided with one already optimized) and then you need to submit the site to the Engines.

* Sound simple enough?

In 2005 it got complicated. The Search Engines decided to stop accepting affiliate links.

This is having a major impact on people trying to market their affiliated related goods and services. With Cashlowpc for example you will have one or more. Everyone will have a basic affiliate storefront like http://cashflowpc.com/affiliates/t.php?rid=57822 This kind of link is no longer accepted by the Search Engines. So, you need to create a page or site or short url or something that Search Engines will easily accept in order to promote your product page.

This kind of site: http://xtreamnet-cfpc.com/ is acceptable for Search Engines. For promoting your vouchers and your products however, it is adviseable to create specific pages for that. The same issue applies to VIP Travel Rewards. The affiliate tracking links like this http://www.viptravelrewards.com/code.asp?c=agy5j5 are not accepted. Your main link like this one: http://xtreamcfpc.viptravelrewards.com/distributor/index.asp has the same translation issue as the Retail Store link. All those extra "/" drop out and you end up with a garbage link the Engines cannot find. So, for Search Engines you need to create pages or tiny urls or affiliate masking urls and then submit those to the Engines.

Solutions include:

1. Creating a suitable tracking link for your site. It needs to be short enough for the Engines to accept so you have to be careful where you create it.

2. Another is to obtain a landing page. This is one we are building for my Cashflowpc products: http://www.launchapage.com/

3. Obtain a short or tiny url.

* Once you have your sites, you need to submit them to the Engines at least once a month. You will find various submitters at the XtreamNet Marketing Forum and they come included in your upgraded subscription.

Then, as your sites are indexed (or added to the Search Engines) you will need to drive traffic to your site. In other words, get visitors. The more traffic, the higher your positioning in the engines. There are many ways to do this and this will be discussed in the next couple articles.

Adding banners and links to your FFA page

With your page at XtreamFFA you have options to Edit and add links. To do so go to "Edit your page". Here you put up any banner you want to any program you want to promote and a link to any program you want to promot. In other words your ffa page is also a linked site for one of your programs for a banner and another for a text link. Or they can be one and the same, what ever you choose.
To edit/add a banner:

Target URL : ie. http://yourdomain.com/
Banner Text Line : ie. Click here to visit our main site.

Type/paste your banner gif. Example I want to add the image show at the beginning of this article. I type in the gif. then type/paste the url that goes with in the next box. You can then add a short text like "Mega resource Center - free to join"

Next you can edit your page name, add another link and etc:
Contact and Site Information to display:
Your site's name : ie. Iphat.net - The Advertising Mecca Your site's URL : ie. http://www.iphat.net/
Contact name : ie. John Smith Contact email : ie. youremail@yourdomain.com

The next box you can use to promote say your main site if you have one and if you want people to contact you. Otherwise you can simply leave blank. Or, and this is what I sometimes do...I name my FFA page same as one of my main programs. Example, I have ffa pages with other providers. So I have named some of my pages XtreamSurf-(the program's name) FFA. This gives me name link back to Xtreamsurf for the search engines. I then put in my affiliate link for that ffa page. For contact email I use a marketing email like xtreamsurf@yahoo.com.

Never use your personal email addy as people will harvest it and then you get ads. Knowing this occurs, use a marketing email address. I even use just XtreamSurf or XtreamNet for my name - not my personal name. So, you can manage the 2 spots however you please.

some key psychological triggers that make

Exclusiveness: people love being in a "club"

to know what the secrets are. Here is where
words such as "secret", "exclusive" and
"revealed" come in handy.

Guarantees: people want to be sure that
what they buy will work as advertised.
Words such as "proven", "tested" and
"guaranteed" give them this safety feeling.

Success: people want to be successful.
Using words such as "success", "miracle" and
"solution" make them feel they will be more
successful by using your product.

Make money: people are always looking for
ways to make money or increase their profits.
Words such as "make money", "profit" and
"fortune" appeal to their greedy instinct.

Save money: as well as making money, people
want to save money too. Words such as
"bargain" and "discount" address this.

Expertness: people want to listen to
experts. Words such as "approved",
"endorsed", "specialist" and "expert"
make you stand as a subject authority,
or enhance your product’s appeal
if it’s recommended by an expert
(this is called “social proof”).

New: people want to see what the
"new kids on the block" are. Words such
as "revolutionary", "breakthrough" and "new"
appeal to their curiosity about new things .


That should give you a start.
Next time you find a good ad,
pay close attention to what words are used,
and what psychological triggers they aim at.
Write those words down and keep them handy
for your own advertisements.

Promotion strategies: use a blog and a marketing site

Market with Safelists: do not use spam guards

When marketing with safe lists, you need two marketing email addresses - one for your list email and a second for your contact email. Never use your actual personal email, private or business support email as your contact address for safe lists. Also, never put an email blocker or so called spam guard on your contact email either.

The quickest way to have your account deleted at a list and your ip and email banned is by using spam guards or auto responders.

You joined a safe list. When you did, you expect to send your emails to the members. Everyone else joined with the same expectations. Some lists offer paid upgraded memberships in which you pay for the privilege of sending YOUR email ads to the members without receiving any in return. As the majority of people use safe lists as free members, they are expected to receive emails from members in return for use of the list. This is what makes it all work.

Safelist owners and admins do use your contact email to ‘contact you’, yes. They also use contact email addresses for solo ads and to send their own commercial email. There are many reasons for this starting with:

1. Safelists are not free. You, as a member, may have a free membership, but the list itself is not free. It costs the owner/admin money every month to run and host it. Depending on the circumstance, the owner may have purchased the script initially (which does not come cheap) and must find ways to recoup that investment. Whether they purchased that script or not, they still have the monthly hosting fees and cost of advertising.

2. Safelists are a business. Most people start them in order to make money. Free memberships build the list but do not help pay the bills or make the owner any money.

So, in order for the owner/admin to make the business flourish and hopefully realize a profit somewhere in all this, they sell upgraded memberships, banner ads and solo ads. They also market and promote their businesses or affiliate links and links to other goods/services and products. And they do this via the contact email.

Spam guards and protectors and very useful tools and need to be imployed - but under the correct circumstances and on your correct email accounts. Use them for your personal accounts for sure. It is inappropriate to use them on either your contact or list email accounts you provide to the safe lists.

To surf, or not to surf

I recently read an ad in total bemusement. It was titled “The problem with Traffic Exchanges”. The main complaint was that exchanges expected members to log in and surf once every 30 days and that people with lives couldn’t be expected to do this. Interestingly, he was promoting a surf site in which to get the measly little credits they were giving out free, you had a minimum surf!

Then, to get any more credits you had to - guess what? SURF. No surf, no show. Then, guess what? If you did nothing for 90 days - you are deleted! Lol.

Traffic exchanges are interesting and vital in many ways and important to have in your portfolio. As sites rotate they generate hits and hits translate into activity which the search engines and reporting agencies like Alexa pick up on. Plus, members surf and view your sites. Studies show that people need to see an ad (or site) multiple times before taking action. So, TE’s are good for all this.

Having said this, let me also say that when members (like the misguided one above) do nothing - nothing happens in return. Members do not surf - sites are not rotated. Plain and simple. Sites do not rotate - nothing happens. No activity to your sites, no sites being seen, no sign ups, no sales.

Nada happens when YOU decide to do nothing.

When members decide to do nothing, of course the program owner must assume there is no interest or that the person has left the building. When weighed against members who DO surf, of course the priority is to have that persons site shown. Why show a non-active members sites? Those members are actually leeches: expecting lots of blood to feed on but not giving any in return.

Traffic exchanges don’t expect blood or that you give up your life to surf a few sites once in awhile. You get A LOT for being even a free member. Give back something to the exchange in the way of your time surfing to contribute to the overall health of the program. The return is greater than your input. A great big nothing happens when you do nothing. A lot happens when you DO.

Ps…while I checked the site out the member was promoting, I did not join on gp. I figure any so called traffic exchange that merely stored sites without requiring members to surf was a total waste of my time. Kind of like a safe list comprised solely of members not required to accept or read email from the other members. Lol.

Jim Hunt, owner of 4daily http://4daily.com/, has the dubious distinction of reaching new lows in relation to online scams and the paid to surf industry.

Following a series of mismanagement at his venue 4daily, Jim Hunt urged members to upgrade and COMPOUND their earnings in lieu of being paid. After securing as many upgrades and compounds as possible, he then took his site offline. When he reopened it was to an entirely new day for everyone - including all the members who had purchased upgrades and compounded! He had reset EVERY SINGLE MEMBER back to basic and wiped out all upgrades and compound history. He now tells those defrauded members that he considers all members PAID when they compounded their earnings and that everything else is part of the 'acceptable loss' provision on his site.

He now advertises his site as the Revitalised 4Daily.com Now back to FULL PAYOUTS! claiming that members Are in the unique position of being able to get in on the ground floor of a well established and much loved program....having an opportunity... that cannot be found anywhere else on the Net.

Nothing could be further or farther from the truth. In fact the only opportunity presented here is to loose your money and get raped in the process. Research by concerned members then uncovered the fact that Jim Hunt operated another failed/scam cashits.com as Kevin Hewitt!

To be Free or Not to be Free…ya, that IS the burning question!

Ok. Lots of screaming headlines and sites out there: FREE! Join this free, that free, this gives your free stuff, that free this and something else free whatever. Except, when you join (free), hello! You find out that is isn’t. I joined one tonight that just stepped on my last poor frazzled nerve, hence this post.

My pet peeves:
Free information!…then they send you a bunch of sales literature. Like, yeah, that is supposed to be free. This goes for so-called e-books which are nothing more than e-book-a-sized sales brochures.

Free to join!… then you find out you have to pay something to get any real value from the site! That is NOT free thank you anyway.

Free Advertising…only to discover you have to invest a jillion hours or your entire lifetime performing tasks at their site to get any of that free advertising. Time is money you know. (Most of them then offer paid packages…lol, now, this is NOT free.) This is what I joined by in March when I first wrote this article. Loads of promises that looked really good only to find I will have to devote my entire waking existence to working this site to actually benefit from it! (Unless someone figures out how to do this while sleeping…really and truly.)

Free Trial Offer…only to discover that the time period is ridiculously short like 3 days, 7 days and etc. IT TAKES A MINIMUM OF 30 DAYS TO SEE RESULTS in any kind of promotional campaign. Trust me in this one. I have had my first site http://www.xtreamsurf.com/ online and aggressively marketing it since 7/04. I am really just now seeing the fruits of all that campaigning. People are just know saying XtreamSurf? Yeah, I heard of that - year later! A 7 day trial offer is ridiculous.

You get my drift. There is “free” and then there is really free. If something toted as being free ends up requiring you either spend loads of your time to achieve or pay money to get, it is not free.

Why do sites even bother offering free anyway? Simple: to get you to join and try the product. You try, you like, it works, you then want more, you buy. Cool. I am with that all the way. I do exactly the same thing on my free traffic sites! People join free, get credits to run their sites to try it out. They like they stay, maybe purchase something (this helps pay all the “stay-in-business” bills for sure), everyone gets something from the initial “free” offer.

So, there is free and then there is actually free. How do you tell the difference? This is fairly common sense thinking. A site which makes you spend an inordinate amount of time performing tasks to build up credits is not free. A site which gives you upfront credits to advertise is free. A site which once you join free then requires a payment to benefit from the program: not free. A site that actually delivers the initial goods free, really is - well - free.

Bottom line: look, read, analyze. Ask yourself: “Does this site deliver?” Depending on the answer you stay or flee. (also called “voting with your feet.”)

FFA Marketing: go Pro - send your email ads

The flip side of posting your links free to FFA and classified ad boards is going Pro and then emailing YOUR own ads to the posters. When you post your link free you receive email. The email comes from the board owners, Admins and the Pro members. Each party has paid so that you can post your link free. The owners and Admins have purchased or lease a script and then pay someone to host their site. They then add their boards to the large syndicates and major Networks like Worldwidepromoter and etc. Pro members purchase subscriptions to the boards.

Each major Network has itÂ’s own rates and then link up to itÂ’s own set of boards. When marketers agree to post their link free to a board or Network, they must agree or opt-in to receive email in return for the service. Once they agree and post their link, the Pro members of that board is then able to send an email to the poster one time. Boards typically subscribe to a Network. This means that, for those boards who subscribe, each day thousands people post to their site via a submitter of some sort. Those emails then become part of that individual board's database and are accessible for one day. (The day after you made your post.)

The rules governing sending emails are fairly simple:

1. Free members agree to receive email one email each from the Network owners, Admins and Pro members. The agreement the marketers sign is like a legally binding contract - one to be honored by both parties.

2. Pro members (and Admins and owners) are then allowed to send their emails to the posters ONE TIME AND ONE TIME ONLY. This is what has, in general, caused major heartburn in the FFA industry fueled in part by abuses on both sides of the fence. There are those who post their link free and then get offended by all the email they receive. Of course you will get email! That is stipulated upfront. Then, there are those Pro members who harvest emails and send their ads multiple times. That of course is not cool. Then there are the free posters who put auto responders up on their email accounts to send ads to the Pro members! That is wayyyyyy not cool.

Adding to the controversy are the so-called ‘bulk’ email services and other collection sites which sell or otherwise offer large databases of email addresses. Those email addresses actually came from the FFA posters, which again, you can only email to once. While you may not have sent to the list yourself on any given day, people tend to forget all this over time. So, someone who posted an ad in April may find themselves getting email from another marketer in October! Sometimes October of another year!! People tend to get testy when they receive email from some marketer months or even years after they posted a link to an FFA board or network.

Despite the controversy, FFA marketing is invaluable provided YOU take precautions and market responsibly

By far the most effective aspect of FFA marketing is in being a Pro (or owning your own board) and then sending your ads to the posters. Xtream has two FFA boards each linked to high traffic Networks: XtreamFFA and XtreamNet FFA. Each day several thousand people post to the sites. 10-03-05 for example: 3102 leads at XtreamFFA and 2794 at XtreamNet FFA. The email address stay active for one 24 hour period during which the Pro members can send their ads. After that, they are replaced with the previous day's batch of posters.

With these two and similar sites you always want to do the following:

1. Always send your ads to the posters via the onboard mailer. This does a couple of things for you:

a. Email goes out through the sites ISP This is a critical factor these days in email marketing. ISP providers (for most individuals this means your internet connection and also your primary email account/access provider) can prove to be extremely email marketing unfriendly. Even a hint of a spam complaint can get your computer and email banned! Using the onboard mailer at a legitimate FFA service protects you from complaints and subsequent hassles.B

b. Email always contains the very important disclaimer - one that reminds the posters that they used the board to market their links and agreed to receive email for doing so. This is critical should you be subject to a spam complaint and then investigations by spamcop and your ICP. c. You can only send your email once a day to the posters. The script keeps track of this and prevents you from emailing the list again. This protects both you and the poster

2. If emailed the list of leads, (one site has this feature) delete the email containing the addresses if you emailed those leads that day already. Yes, it is tempting to keep them and perhaps email them again later - but really not worth the consequences should you be caught. On days you missed, you can send to the list using your own bulk emailer. Frankly, I have yet to find a decent one that actually works properly. Should you email the leads yourself ALWAYS INCLUDE THE PROPER DISCLAIMER! Otherwise you risk spam complaints

Does all this sound daunting and put you off on marketing with FFA sites? I hope it does not as
Pro FFA marketing and emailing to the leads is really quiet an effective means of advertising online. Why is this? Simple - marketing studies show that readers need to see offers up to seven or more times before responding! As most FFA free posters do so many times over the course of a week, you have a good opportunity to get your message across to them. Over time, this can be a highly effective tool and worth having in your arsenal. You just really need to exercise caution and good sense when using this resource.

Ffa marketing is as well established and entrenched as Safe list advertising. It has its good points and its bad - its proponents and its detractors. Saying this, I guess I rather fall in the ‘proponent’ category. However, I do advise reason and caution when using this particular resource. There has been a lot of misinformation and misunderstanding regarding this venue, of which you need to sort out for yourself.

Ffa marketing falls into two distinct categories:
1. Posting your link free
2. Paying for an upgrade and then emailing the posters

This article will discuss posting your link free to the boards.

1. Posting your link free:

A. Posting your link free at Ffa sites is a valid way for creating link backs and even hits to your site/s. When ever you post a link to an Ffa or classified board, the search engines will pick up on this - PROVIDED IT STAYS UP LONG ENOUGH FOR THIS TO OCCUR!

So, considering the short time links usually stay up on sites - doesn’t happen if you don’t constantly resubmit your links. Ffa marketing is something you must do religiously.

I do happen to have links up on Ffa and some classified ad boards that DO appear in Search Engines. Reason: links never rolled off that particular section or I had bought or been gifted into a permanent position on that venue.

B. Members will read your free posts and respond. Yes, this does happen. I equate these venues to your local newspaper, shopper and etc classified ads. People do not read every link, but they do scan. People do check the boards to ensure their own links are showing up. Plus, if a person is specifically looking for something they will check the classifieds and Ffa boards. The downside is, again, the links tend to roll off quickly in some of the categories.

To effectively market posting your links free with Ffa boards you need a submitter. There are a number of places to get submitter accounts.

1. Ffa submitter included in your subscription to XtreamNet Marketing Center. There are actually several submitters in the Center. One blasts to a Network of over 50,000 boards and 2 million members. There is another submitter that goes to the MS-4 collection of sites. This is the abbreviated version of the MS-6 submission service . Then there is a link to sign up for the free silver version of Blastomatic.

2. MS-6 submission service.
This is a totally awesome site whose primary function is auto submitting to the Search Engines. Then, it has one of the most comprehensive and complete link ups and submission forms to most of the major Ffa networks that exist on the net.

You set up your venues with Profiles. You create your subject line, ad copy, profile info, link and keyword or words. Then, you can add your profile to the auto submission scheduler to submit and then resubmit your sites automatically to their database of search engines. This is a very powerful tool.

Also, using the various forms, you can then submit your links/profiles to the various Ffa and classified Networks. This is a somewhat time consuming undertaking but worth your effort daily if possible, couple times a week for sure. The Search Engine submissions are automatic once you set them up.

3. Blastomatic:
I have used the free/silver service for almost 3 years and really like the program. It submits primarily to the Worldwidepromoter Network, which is simply huge. This is a site you must join. When you do, use a marketing email account as you, as in all Ffa networks, will receive return email. Note: once you join you cannot change your email address as a free member, so plan ahead.

You create your ad, set your keywords and subject line. Then you verify your email address. You will actually need to do this at least once a week to keep current.

Once you have verified your email addy with the various groups, you blast your ads. You will receive one main verification link from TrafficWave which you must click on. Once done your ad will blast to the entire Network. You will receive other emails from various boards leading you to believe you must confirm your ad or email. This is not the case at all. With TW, once you verify the main link your link/ad is posted to every board iin their system.

What ever email address you use absolutely DO NOT put an auto responder on it. The quickest way to get yourself and your ip banned at this venue is to use an auto responder.

I find this most effective if you use it daily. As it auto submits your ad, once your ad is set up this takes very little time to accomplish.

4. AdBlaster:



I especially like this one as this runs from your computer and auto submits your ads for you. This keeps your links on the boards. I set up various ads to submit on every hour in different categories. This way I have at least one of my venues up at all times on the boards. I set up a different marketing email account for each link, create the individual ads, save, then load them into the submitter. I schedule the times then let the software do it’s thing.

Thus, AdBlaster is a very efficient and effective way to keep your links out on the boards. Of all the various blasters discussed above this one is by far my favorite as it simply runs on its own and frees up my time to do other things. Like have a life? Not! Lol.

C. When you use Ffa boards to post your links, expect return email. Just as with Safe list advertising, you receive email back. The email comes from the board owners and the Pro members. Also, here are some two rules which you need to observe:

1. Do not set up auto responders on the email you use to post your free links. The boards and networks specifically do not allow those. Should you be caught you risk being banned across the entire Ffa NETWORK!

2. If you want to send your ads to the members, join a board or two as a Pro members. There are many boards and networks to choose from. My two boards link up primarily to the Worldwidepromoter Network in addition to a couple others so we average about 2500 - 3000 leads (posters) per day.

D. Strategies:
1. Use an auto submitter to keep your links posted constantly. See discussion on this above

2. Use a different email address with each link you post.
Most boards only allow you to post one link per email address. If you want your link to appear in more than one category (with the AdBlaster and MS-6 submitters you can do this easily) or have multiple venues to promote on the boards then you need different email addresses.

I highly suggest you use a good commercial email for this. Do not try to use AOL, hotmail, MSN and other similar services. They are extremely email marketing unfriendly - especially with Ffa sites and safe lists. Yahoo and Gmail seem to be the best of the free web-based services. I use Just4uu commercial email with no problems at all.

3. Create several links for your venue.
If you want to post your venue in different categories (recommended), you need unique links in order to do this. For my own venues I simply create memberships which then gives me the separate urls for this strategies. You can also get yourself some tiny urls, create link tracking urls, or build yourself little mini marketing websites. I use Ecomplanet, aka http://www.myownweboffice.com/ extensively for this purpose. For link tracking I like the MyAdTrack

In summary, Ffa marketing remains a valid and popular means of promoting your sites. It is not the end all and be all of marketing. It has certain limitations and downsides which, once understood, are easily managed. It is a TOOL - one which can be quiet effective if used properly.
The flip side of posting your links free to these sites is going Pro and then sending your email ads to the posters. This topic will be covered in another article.

Marketing with Safe list Submitters

Email marketing remains wildly popular and when using safe lists the saying More Is Better definitely applies. This usually means submitters. There are many great services on the Net, the best ones are feature-rich ones that also include other services.

XtreamNet Marketing Center is an example of a venue that offers many resources revolving around a Safe list Submitter. The submitter itself is top notch having auto join and auto send features, the ability to save multiple messages for future resend and advanced management features. You can also add banners, track ads and clean you mailboxes.

It also has an augmented Validation service! The site subscribes to The Validator - a service which validates all email boxes (not just the one subscription box) as many times as you need it done. This is an invaluable resource as many safe lists now require that you validate both your contact and subscription email addresses.

Your typical web-based emails like Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, AOL and etc are not pop3. This means validation and box cleaning software do not work. Also, most of these services are extremely email marketing UNFRIENDLY. Over half of most lists in any given submitters now ban Yahoo, MSN, AOL, Hotmail and etc.

"What the Gurus Didn't Tell You About Google Adwords"

Now if you have been marketing online for awhile you
have probably heard of Google Adwords. Basically, for
those that don't know, you pay for each time someone
clicks on your ad. This has been a proven way to
market as it is VERY targeted! This usually leads to
great conversion rates. Well when the gurus tell you
to advertise on Google or any other PPC they don't tell
you the whole story.

What they haven't told you is that your ad can be
taken off Google if your CTR (click-thru rate) isn't
high enough. That means a certain percentage of people
that see your ad need to click on it. Well you can
make sure that you ad doesn't get taken off.

You have to target your keywords. You can do this by
putting brackets [ ] around keywords that are two words
or less and putting quotes " " around keyword phrases
that are more then 2 words. So if your keyword is golf
clubs then it must be put into brackets like this [golf
clubs]. If you don't then your ad could show up for
people searching for "great golfers." Those people
will probably not click on your ad which drops your
CTR.

Just to let you know, this is FREE information given
by Google if you call them up for help. I've seen
people sell this information for $50 which I think is
very unfair since they got if for free.

So just follow these steps to success on Google.

1.) Choose the keywords that you want to target using
the tip I gave you. Make sure people are actually
searching for your keyword and make sure it isn't
super-competitive.
2.) Write an ad. Look at some of the ads on Google
and learn from the ones that made you want to cli.ck on
their link. What did they do that made you want to
click?
3.) Bid on the keyword. You do NOT have to be number
one, but you do want to be on the first page. Again if
your keyword is too competitive, it is going to cost
like around $5 per cli.ck which is VERY risky.
4.) If you profit, keep the ad running. If it fails,
try to find out what you did wrong. Is the ad copy not
good? Is the market too competitive?
5.) Once you start to profit on Google, start
advertising on other PPCs. Repeat the process.

Market your sites on Traffic Exchanges:

Traffic Exchanges, also called surf sites, whether manual or auto, do a couple of neat things for you:
1. They show your sites/links off to the members:
You load your site onto what is called the surf bar. Your site then rotates on the surf. This means your site gets seen by the members as the surf.

When you join a site you usually get a referral link. This is what you add to the Traffic Exchange site. Most sites also have the means to add banner ads and text ads. All rotate on the surf, all are useful to your marketing.

Most marketing studies show that people need to see your sites and offers many times before taking action. Traffic exchanges are perfect mediums for this.

Plus, not only can you market the site itself but you also can add the banner graphics and text ads on most of them to further increase your exposure.

2. They boost your rankings at Search Engines:
As your sites rotate on the surf, they create hits. At manual surf sites the hit is created when the member clicks on the next icon for the next site to show on the surf bar. At auto surf sites, the script rotates the site automatically for you. These hits translate into activity for Search Engines. The more hits, the better your ranking. Have you ever done a search? If you have, you see the results listed on pages. Page 1 contains the paid venues followed by the highest ranking web pages for whatever search you did.

The goal is to be listed on page 1 for very obvious reasons. Considering the millions of websites on the net, sometimes millions just in your particular field, getting to a number 1 page is very daunting! On generic keywords practically impossible for most of us. However, putting your link up on Traffic Exchanges does help you obtain better ranking than those who don’t.
