Email marketing, especially email marketing using safe lists, remains very popular. With the advent of submitters, people are able to reach hundreds of thousands of members with their ads. But with that trend has come something of a backlash: a lot of people not really reading or paying attention to the emails.

SAL, although similar in look and a vehicle for email-type advertising is NOT a safe list. Members post their ads to an onboard rotator where they are then viewed.
