Alexa traffic rank: what it is and why you should care (or not)
Alexa is an Amazon owned company that is famous for its public traffic ranking service via its alexa.com website. Website promotion guides often make a big deal about how to improve your Alexa ranking because a top position is often associated with high profits. As a new webmaster, you must understand a few very important points about Alexa’s service. This article will explain what the data collected by Alexa mean and then describe why you should care or not.
There are three numbers that Alexa reports, reach, page views and overall rank. Reach refers to the percentage of all web users that visited your site. Alexa reports this number as “reach per million users.” For example if Alexa reports a reach of one, it means that on average out of one million web surfers one visits your site. After a relatively uneventful and lack luster year on the Internet, two new ventures are poised to set the New Year 2008 on fire in fun and innovative ways!
1. My NetAudioAds, a company within Voice2Page, is gearing up a Pay Per Play venue specializing in Internet Audio Advertising. Based on the bid system similar to the Google Adsense pay per click program, Pay Per Play depends upon webmasters and bloggers placing 5 or 30 second ad spots on their sites and blogs. The ads auto launch when a visitor lands on the site. Once the visitor stays on the site the full 5 or 30 seconds, the site owner is credited for the ad run. The difference between Google Adsense pay per click and the Mynetaudioads pay per play is that NO clicking is involved. Other major differences include pay per play is traffic exchange friendly while Google adsense and syndicate ads are not. Pay Per Play is currently seeking webmasters and bloggers to place the upcoming audio ad snippets on their sites.
2. MaxLife is set to launch mid to end January 2008. Max Life is not to be confused with the Valvoline motor oil, the Stanley Flashlight or the insurance company. Not much is known yet about the venture except it is an MLM company with a mix of at least four products. Initial reports indicate some products are health care industry related with at least one technological item that involves the emerging desktop messaging and paging system.

What is Marketing?
Sometimes Marketing can mean selling. There are many companies which offer goods and services through distributorship - sometimes referred to as Network Marketing - and affiliate programs like 4-Ecorp and Ethos FR, Max GXL and FreeLife and Himalyan Goji Juice.
Other people own their own companies and businesses and have their own products or services to sell.
Marketing also means INTRODUCING people to venues or opportunities. Besides selling products or services, many of the companies you embrace also have affiliate or distributorship opportunities. The goal of these programs is to build your own team of affiliates which then sell or recruit for you. You INTRODUCE them to the business aspect of providing those goods and services. They in turn introduce others to the business as your affiliate member.
Network Marketing especially embraces the principle of introducing people to the opportunity attached to their product. Distributors sell product through their distributorship as opposed to a typical store front. Their focus is on recruiting other Distributors who buy product for themselves and to resell. As well as selling product, they will then go on to recruit others who will buy and sell the product as well. These new recruits will also go on to recruit others, thus constantly increasing their team (Downline).
Network marketers rely on people. As many top marketers will tell you, there are basically 3 types of people:

Thursday 7-27-2006 9pm Eastern begins a series of marketing classes beginning with Marketing 101 for members of Xtream and Cashflowpc. The classes are interactive. You need to download the room

* Discuss marketing in broad terms and
* Look at the toolbox you are going to build for yourself
* Assign ‘homework’ for the next session scheduled for Monday. (7am and 9pm)
***HOMEWORK:
* Begin Join venues. If any of the main venues are ‘paid’ sites - do not pay
* Email me to upgrade on one’s I have control over. The exception is the Group Emailer access. We need to have that specific class first anyway and then you can decide if you want to obtain the Emailer.
* For submitters, You can either follow the instructions on articles or wait for classes
* Invite your team to attend Marketing101 scheduled for next Thursday 7am or 9pm Eastern. You can re-attend with your guest/s, or send your send guest/s
* Email me as to who will attend or have your guest email me to register.
